A complete range of services
CES
offers a complete range of services to underground storage tank
owners and operators. Our services include assessments, site investigations,
tank removal/closure support, and remediation. CES has a working
knowledge of federal regulations and the varying requirements of
the UST regulations and programs established by individual states.
With this knowledge and experience, we can cost-effectively and
confidentially address your needs.
Assessments
CES offers preliminary and in-depth site assessment services to address regulatory
conformance and environmental concerns. Our professional staff is skilled
in the use of assessment techniques such as tank and line tightness testing,
soil gas surveys, test drilling, and geophysical surveys. We also perform
assessments of underground storage systems to determine if they meet current
regulations and
can make recommendations to upgrade the systems,
when necessary.

Site Investigations
Site investigations can be conducted to define contamination of
soil, surface water, or groundwater. While drilling monitoring
wells and soil-sampling is a common investigative method, we also
perform soil gas and geophysical surveys to support soil sampling
programs.
Removal & Closure Support
CES has extensive experience providing underground storage tank
removal services, including development of plans, specifications,
and bid documents when needed to meet our clients' requirements.
We can provide closure support by notifying and/or negotiating
with regulatory agencies, collecting required environmental samples,
and preparing closure reports. If the tanks are to be closed in
place or be used to store other products, CES can assist in meeting
applicable regulations.
Remediation
In the event soil or groundwater has become contaminated by UST
releases, CES can assist with the analysis, design, and implementation
of remedial action. Our staff has implemented cleanup technologies
for soil, surface water, and groundwater. We have designed, pilot-tested,
and implemented remediation actions, including vapor extraction,
free-product recovery, and pump and treat systems. CES has developed
plans and directed the excavation and proper disposal of contaminated
soil. We have also designed bioremediation systems and recommended
the use of thermal treatment to address petroleum contaminated
soils. |
